Didas Mbarushimana Added to BPD Council

Congratulations to Didas Mbarushimana for recognition and consideration for the BPD Council!

Didas Mbarushimana is a Software Engineer, open-source community leader, and developer advocate based in Kigali, Rwanda. He is an active leader in the African open source ecosystem, working to build inclusive developer communities, support open source contributors, and create opportunities for developers to connect, learn, and collaborate.

Didas leads Open Source Kigali and Django Rwanda, helping create spaces where developers can build skills, contribute to open source projects, and connect more with the global technology ecosystem. He is passionate about open source, artificial intelligence, and developer communities, with a particular focus on empowering African developers to build, contribute, and collaborate globally.

The BPD council is the sounding board for decisions that need to be made in Black Python Devs. They advise on how our actions can impact their communities. The council is made up of organizers, BPD leaders, and those in leadership positions around the Python world.
